Last week, we released the much-anticipated Guest Network functionality in our latest Encrouter update, V14. Today, we're thrilled to provide you with a comprehensive guide on how to set up the Guest Network feature for your Encrouter.
Guest Network: What is it?
A Guest Network is a dedicated network designed specifically for visitors, ensuring that your primary network remains secure and private. By creating a separate network for guests, you can prevent them from accessing sensitive data on your internal networks.
How to set up your Guest Network:
- Open the Encrouter app and ensure that you have the latest update installed.
- Create a new group. Make sure that it's a group other than Default.
- Create a new WiFi network, while also selecting the related group that you created, that all traffic will go through
- Once the network has been created, go back in and enable Guest Network in the Advanced Settings
- Save your settings, and voila! Your Guest Network is now ready to use.
